Why did you decide to make An Original Sin a time travel?

I was searching for two extremes for my hero and heroine. I found them in Fortune MacDonald, a woman from Earth’s far future where men are extinct and Leith Campbell, a highland warrior from Scotland’s past. To complicate things, I brought them together in the year 2000.

Fortune is a valued man-maker who listens to women’s fantasies and takes orders for customized men. She considers herself very good at her trade until she wakes to find herself sharing a bed with the real deal. You can see the problem here. And Leith is not inclined to trust a woman with the last name of an enemy clan. I decided that was enough conflict to work with.
